Autumn Colours

This is the Stags Horn Sumach set against Mahonia aquifolium, which, incidentally, doesnt usually flower at this time of the year.

The Euonymus alatus is a handsome shrub and is related to the Spindleberry. It is one of the first shrubs to give us this rich crimson Autumn colour, starting in September and continuing for six weeks.

The Pittosporum purpureum has a deep purple foliage all year round and here is set against Berberis Gold Ring

The Forest Pansy (Cercis) turns a nice red shade, here set against the yellow Gingko biloba leaves which will be gathered, once fallen, and used for composting.
