Robin from Grosmont (Grosmont as in Steam Train fame) Here Robin is loading 2 Kilmarnock Willows into his car.( Latin Name, Salix caprea 'Pendula') Remember, as with any grafted specimens, you must use a sharp stanley knife to remove any growing points appearing below the graft. These growths are from the rootstock onto which the named variety has been grafted.

This is Lindsay and Jane from Essex who bought a beautiful Clematis sieboldii Florida.

A close up of that Clematis. It almost looks manufactured. This particular variety needs a cosy corner and is well worth 'molly coddling', especially when the flowers start opening in abundance.

Here are regular visitors Sonja and Anne who make weekly trips to see how things are growing. They travel from Marske each Saturday and although their gardens are full to overflowing, you can bet your bottom dollar they won't go home empty handed! Both girls have been coming to Poets Cottage Shrub Nursery for years now and must feel its their second home! A very patient hubby, waits in the car whilst Sonia and Anne chatter and giggle away, oooing and aaahing at some newly found treasure.
